About Onsight

 On Sight is a live cold reading, giving aspiring to working actors a chance to showcase their skills in front of a panelist of celebrity actors, casting directors, directors producers and a live audience.  Onsight was founded by actor, comedian, author and producer, Qualah.

About Qualah

Shaquila “Qualah” Gooden is an Trinidadian-American Actress, Comedian, Author and Producer. She studied at The Spirited Actor, Manhattan Comedy School, Gotham Writers Workshop. Shaquila has worked on numerous independent projects, most notable for Jussie Smollett directorial debut feature film “B-Boy Blues” (which won Fan Favorite at ABFF) and is now airing on Bet Plus Khalil Kain playwright debut for the stage play “Lambs To Slaughter”, “A for Alpha” (which was an official selection at Diversity in Cannes) “Black Round Table” (which she won Best Supporting Actor) ”Introspection” (which has gotten write ups on blogs and online magazines), She acted in “Camp Joy” which is a feature film coming to Paramount Plus.

Shaquila also co-produced and hosted the first open mic style live table read event with the Hip Hop Film Festival, Harlem Film House. Sponsored by Final Draft and Backstage entitled “Act Up” until 2020.  She left to launch her own Acting company called ACTORvated where she curates a safe space to help support aspiring actors develop into working actors. Under her company she launched her first event entitled “On Sight” which is a live cold reading event in front of panelist of casting directors, screenwriters, producers and actors. She is working hard to build a platform for actors, screenwriters, playwrights and filmmakers in this industry.
